Dirk E. Petchul has been a member of the California State Bar since 1991. He has been admitted to practice before all California state courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit, the U.S. District Courts of the Central, Southern and Eastern Districts of California, and the U.S. Tax Court.

Mr. Petchul is a California Real Estate Broker, an advisory board member of the Chapman University School of Law's Environmental Land Use and Real Estate Law Program, an advisory board member of the California State University Environmental Compliance Certificate Program, a qualified mediatior of litigated cases for the Los Angeles Superior Courts, a member of the Orange County Bar Association (Real Estate and Business Litigation Sections), a member of the California Bar Association Real Estate Section, a founding member of the Warren J. Ferguson American Inn of Court, a past adjunct professor of Legal Writing and Research for Western State University School of Law, a past director of the Orange County Escrow Association, a past law clerk for the Court of Appeal of the State of California, 4th District, Division 3, and a past committee member for the Orange County Bar Association, Legal Referral and Information Service.

Since beginning the practice of law in California in 1991, Mr. Petchul's practice has encompassed civil litigation and both business and real estate transactions, with an emphasis in real estate, business, partnership, corporate and environmental law.

Mr. Petchul has represented numerous clients in traditional as well as complex litigation involving various types of real estate, commercial and business litigation matters including partnership disputes/dissolutions and accountings, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, real estate and business purchases, sales, leases and brokerage, escrow and title matters, environmental contamination litigation, and the defense of wrongful termination actions.

His transactional work includes the formation and dissolution of business entities, drafting, reviewing and negotiation of management agreements, commercial leases, real property and business purchase and sale agreements, service agreements, and the ongoing counseling of clients in a broad array of matters arising in the operation of their businesses.

Mr. Petchul is married and resides in Orange County with his wife and son. He is an avid cyclist and an exhibited photographer.
